Meet Firefly & Tsuki
Firefly & Tsuki

Firefly and her sister Tsuki came to us as part of our third group of rescues through SaveAFox, survivors of the “Fur Farm 500.” Though they share the same beginnings, their personalities couldn’t be more different.
Tsuki carries deep scars from her past. Her trauma runs so deep that she remains fearful of humans, even after years of patience and care. It took more than six months before she would accept food directly from my hand, and even now she prefers to keep her distance. And that’s okay. What matters most is that she is safe, loved, and free to live on her own terms.
Firefly, on the other hand, is her sister’s opposite, bold, curious, and unafraid. She’s the first to snatch up food or treats, and she has a habit of “helping” during pen cleanings, always nosing her way into whatever is going on. She exudes bravery and confidence, lighting up every space she’s in.
What makes these two so special is the bond they share. Tsuki may be timid, but she looks to Firefly for courage. She rarely tries anything unless Firefly does it first, as if her sister’s bravery gives her permission to take her own small steps forward.
Their story is one of contrast, trust, and sisterhood, a reminder that healing can look different for everyone, but love makes room for it all.
